Michael McCarthy, MAPP
Associate Professor
Michael McCarthy is a serial entrepreneur. He started his first business at the age of 16 and his first three weeks of sales financed his freshman year at New York University.
From 1994–2004, he was the #1 Stock Market Timer in the United States and managed more than $250 million in client assets with an inbound marketing referral program he developed. After a brief period of early retirement, Michael founded Budi Products in 2010, a food company designing brain-healthy gourmet snacks which was acquired in 2015.
He now focuses on teaching entrepreneurship, sales, leadership, and public speaking in Harvard University. He developed the Leadership Sailing Program for MIT Sloan Executive Education in 2016 and is the founder of Power Speaking Coach, a Boston based consulting firm. He recently authored Harnessing the Power of Fear, a book to help reduce the fear of public speaking.

Robert Neer, J.D, M.A, Ph.D.
Associate Professor
Bob Neer is a historian, attorney, and entrepreneur. His historical research examines the intersection of U.S. military power, economic and cultural globalization, and international law in the 20th and 21st centuries.
His book Napalm, An American Biography the first comprehensive history of the incendiary weapon, was published in 2013 by the Belknap Press of Harvard University Press to overwhelmingly positive reviews.
He has been interviewed in many newspapers and magazines, NPR affiliates WBUR and WGBH Radio, Irish Radio, Russian television network RT Global, CNBC Asia, and numerous other media outlets.

Phillip Sun, MBA, Ph.D.
Associate Professor
Philip Sun is an experienced quantitative researcher, portfolio manager and an effective leader of research and investment teams. Philip has 23 years of professional experience and 15 years in the investment management industry.
He is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Adaptive Investment Solutions, where he is responsible for proprietary investment strategies. Prior to starting Adaptive, Philip was the Head of Quantitative Research and Investments at Sentinel Investments, a fully owned investment management subsidiary of National Life Group.
Philip holds an MBA from the Wharton School, a PhD in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University, and dual Bachelor degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Stony Brook University. Philip is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
