Impact: Reshaping Capitalism to Drive Real Change

Updated: Jul 12, 2022

Impact, by Sir Ronald Cohen, shines light on a side of Finance that is often neglected. Perhaps you can do good and do well. In the book, Sir Ronald Cohen shares his experience with using Finance as a tool for bringing about social good. He introduces particular projects and financial instruments such as a Social Impact Bond (SIB) that can be used to wield the power of finance to fight for social and environmental causes. He shows us that Finance does not have to be only about making profits. Instead, it is a tool that can be used for any kinds of tasks- particularly the big ones that require a cohesive effort from all of us. Thus, through his book, Sir Ronald Cohen highlights the path for the future and calls his readers to action. It is time we use Finance to make an Impact.

Sir Ronald Cohen is a tremendously successful venture capitalist, private equity investor, and social innovator. He is also the co-founder of multiple organisations including Partners Worldwide LLP, a global private equity firm, Bridges Fund Management, Big Society Capital, Social Finance, UK, USA, and Israel, and several others. Moreover, Sir Ronald Cohen has also been a part of various important committees including the University of Oxford Investment Committee and Harvard Board of Overseers to name a few.
